Topeka capital newspaper and local TV stations reported Monday that they have reached an agreement with the Kansas City Royals to televise the All-Star Game in Kansas City.
The deal is expected to be announced Wednesday.
The Kansas City Star reports that it is for a single game in downtown Kansas City and will air on KCTV and KCUR.
The new deal with KCTV comes on the heels of other news the two papers have made in recent weeks.
Last week, KCTV announced it would be televising the World Series for the first time.
And last week, it said it will broadcast the All Star Game for the second time in the Kansas capital city.
The Kansas City Times also reported that it has reached an arrangement with the Royals to broadcast the World Cup for the third time.
