The latest Japanese anime series, the new manga titled Nihon no Jikenbo, is now in #1 of Amazon Japan’s Manga section for September.
The manga is written by Yoshihiro Nakayama ( The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya ) and illustrated by Takeshi Kusakabe ( Fate/stay night ).
The series was released on September 14th in Japan.
Amazon Japan will give the manga free trials until September 22.
The series has been licensed for anime by Bandai Visual and Viz Media, and is set in the future after the Second World War.
The manga follows Haruhamaru, a new high school student who has been accepted to the prestigious Takashimaya Academy, an elite school for boys with the highest success rate in Japan and the world.
His classmate Isao Nakamura is his childhood friend, and together they are fighting against the world’s most powerful villains: the powerful “Chosen One” (the Japanese word for the Chosen One), a supernatural force that is able to change its form at will.
In the series, Haruha and Isao have to help each other in order to defeat the “Chaos Knights” (an army of elite soldiers called “chosen” from a “gift”), the evil villains that were sent by a mysterious benefactor named “Akito”.
The manga also features an original anime short.
The series’ first anime short, titled “The Story of the New Takashima Academy”, is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
